As an instructor, I also stress the importance of data literacy and encourage students to explore different tools, methods, data sources, and coding languages to conduct research.
I was previously a Graduate Student Assistant in Digital Scholarship Services at the University of Pittsburgh. I helped to coordinate the Digital Scholarship Workshop series, which offers hands-on training for various tools and methods to conduct digital research. I served as a Teaching Assistant for the Python workshops. I also conducted consultations with faculty and students on their research projects.
I also worked with the Research Computing Education Initiative at the University of Pittsburgh as a Data Science Curriculum Developer to create asynchronous learning guides on Python coding.
